Volunteer Opportunities
St. Vincent’s depends on the generous support of our volunteers to live out our mission and fulfill the growing needs of the community. Whether you are looking to volunteer on a regular basis with one of our programs or to help occasionally with a special event, St. Vincent’s offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to meet your time, talents, and interests in the following areas:
Vincent’s Heart:
Assist our staff at the local foodbank
Sort and distribute food and other necessities to St. Vincent's families and seniors
Serve as a shop attendant
St. Vincent's Family Strengthening Program:
Babysit Family Strengthening Program children while their mothers attend required educational classes
Serve as a mentor to a mother in the Family Strengthening Program
Share your talent or expertise in a variety of ways
Office Assistance:
Data entry and typing
Assist with mailings
Heritage Gallery attendants
Special Events:
Assist with annual events
Collect, package, and distribute back-to-school supplies, holiday gifts, and baskets
Outreach:
Adult literacy
Assist with driving and shopping
Instruct arts and crafts classes
Lead health and fitness classes
Teach English as a second language
Tutor students and assist with homework
