How You Can Help

St. Vincent’s depends on the generous support of our volunteers to live out our mission and fulfill the growing needs of the community. You must be 18 years of age to volunteer at St. Vincent’s.  Whether you are looking to volunteer on a regular basis with one of our programs or to help occasionally with a special event, St. Vincent’s offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to meet your time, talents, and interests in the following areas.

St. Vincent’s Family Strengthening Program

Babysit the children of the mothers in St. Vincent’s Family Strengthening Program while they attend required educational classes.

Serve as a mentor to a mother in St. Vincent’s Family Strengthening Program. Share your talent/s or expertise in a variety of ways.

Office Assistance

  • Data entry and wordprocessing
  • Assist with mailings

Special Events

  • Assist with annual events
  • Collect, package, and distribute back-to-school supplies, holiday gifts, and baskets.

Outreach

  • Fr. Virgil Cordano Center
  • Adult literacy
  • Instruct arts and crafts classes
  • Lead health and fitness classes
  • Teach English as a second language
  • Tutor students and assist with homework

After applications are reviewed, potential volunteers will be contacted by email or phone to set up an appointment.
