Director of the Family Strengthening Program
Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, California State University, Bakersfield
Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, Antioch University, Santa Barbara
Joanne Sizemore joined St. Vincent’s as the Director of the Family Strengthening Program in January 2014. As Director, Joanne is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring of all aspects of St. Vincent’s Family Strengthening Program, a long-term transitional housing program for women and children. In addition to providing leadership as the program director, Joanne is also the Clinical Director, responsible for diagnosing and facilitating treatment of all client mental health issues. She oversees a talented staff of four that work with up to 70 women and children annually. Joanne’s work helps these women and their children leave multi-generational cycles of abuse, homelessness, poverty and sometimes addiction— to begin a life of economic and emotional stability.
When not supporting the women and children in the Family Strengthening Program, you can find Joanne planning her return trip to the Australian outback, where she spent part of her youth.
