I am 70 years old this year. I live at St. Vincent’s with my little companion dog Muffin. I am alone except for her. My husband died a few years back, and I lost my only son in the war. There is a sense of belonging at St. Vincent’s. This helps a lot. We get together and share meals, go for walks, and a group of us even swim twice a week. Sister Marie Rachelle is an angel. Once a week, I go to Vincent’s Heart and get fresh food. It is hard to make ends meet, so every week, I am very grateful for that. Times are difficult, but I am grateful for the friends I have at St. Vincent’s and my apartment at Villa Caridad. Make a gift. Change a life.
